Refresh and Relax at Half-Mile Farm

My husband and I recently returned to Half-Mile Farm for a three night visit, our first time back since Half-Mile Farm becoming part of Old Edwards. We could not have been more pleased with all the improvements and attention to details that have been added. Kudos to the entire staff for being attentive without being intrusive, for the nighttime turn down service, and the delicious breakfasts and cocktail hours. There is a bar on site that offers a small menu for guests and a shuttle service to take you into town for dinner, etc. Highlands is a great place to visit with high quality shopping and restaurants, along with hiking and waterfalls, however, don't miss the chance to enjoy Half-Mile. Outside of dinner in town, we spent our entire time enjoying the property. With one day, we were rewarded with unseasonably warm weather. We spent the day walking around the lake and enjoying a beverage (or two) and book on the patio outside the Garden House. The Garden House is a beautiful place to enjoy a book by the fire or to work a puzzle while enjoying a cup of coffee. We found that for the most part, most guests were gone during the day so we had the entire place to ourselves. On our rainy days, we enjoyed some time by the main house living room fire after breakfast. Other times, we enjoyed our beautiful, well-appointed Woodlands room and a well-deserved nap. The space is very generous, the furnishing are a mix of high end and antiques, the linens are to die for, the bedroom/seating area has a gas log fireplace, and the bathroom is luxurious. The bathroom has heated floors and towel bar, a tricked out shower, and the best soaking tub ever! The room has a small bar area with a mini fridge for convenience. Woodlands 34's covered balcony overlooks the woods and trails. More than once, I threaten not to return home and live out our retirement right there in Woodlands 34 until Old Edwards forced us to leave - LOL. Enjoy the Highlands, but be sure to treat yourself to at least one entire day relaxing and enjoying Half-Mile Farm

Perfect mountain getaway

Nice country Inn feel with an English countryside vibe. We booked a cottage which was perfect to have a separate room yet all the conveniences of a B&B Highly recommend for a few days of R and R. It is quiet yet very close to tow
